Chip Kids is a captivating web series co-produced by East Tennessee PBS. This program aims to spark interest in STEM disciplines related to the semiconductor industry. Chip Kids goes beyond education – it motivates all youngsters to view science as an exciting and attainable career path.
Enhance your middle school curriculum with Chip Kids! Each episode is unlocking the science behind microelectronics, with fun and engaging experiments. Learn how semiconductors are made with accessible materials in your school, home, or community. Chip Kids episodes are short 5–7-minute videos that can support engaging/motivating students around science and technical career related topics. With fun learning activities you can include in any lesson plan. Each video includes discussion questions, teaching tips and handouts available through PBS learning media.
Season 1 has finished production and we’re getting ready to launch the series with East Tennessee PBS this fall. Episodes will air live on East Tennessee PBS and be watchable on YouTube.
